What we do and how we do it

Golden Orb is a specialist provider of highly secure fixed and mobile communication solutions and services, and has been supplying elements of the UK Government, security services and commercial companies in the UK and elsewhere since 1994. We work in a variety of sensitive areas operating our own private Tier One fixed/mobile phone and data network certified to UK Confidential standards and all staff within the business have multiple levels of security clearances. Some of the services we provide include;

Secure Voice – We provide a range of services to secure your identity when making or receiving calls or text messages, including obscuring your real mobile and fixed numbers with a “front” number of your choice, preventing your location from being monitored through to encrypting mobile to mobile or office calls with a Government grade service validated to FIPS 140-2. We also provide a secure phone conferencing facility and secure your voicemail as well as enabling in-call recording for later review.

Secure Unified Communications – As a Tier One operator and MVNO with our own UK Confidential network, we provide truly integrated fixed/mobile communications within a secure environment as well as video conferencing, screen / file sharing, presence management etc, running across PC’s, Mac’s web and mobile phones all within your own private service, safe from prying eyes.

Secured Mobile Data – We can issue SIM’s for any kind of mobile application such as data collection, CCTV etc with simple per Mb tariffs. Each SIM is individually authenticated with a secured and monitored data path through our network directly back to your servers.

Secure Conferencing – Golden Orb provides a range of services to have secured, confidential phone and video conferences that can also incorporate screen sharing, presentations, file transfers, instant messaging etc all from downloaded Mac/PC/Linux clients and mobile phone apps or secure web pages and hosted inside our secured data centre. All conferences can be recorded and delivered as an encrypted file for later viewing. Multiple security levels ranging from whitelists that only allow “known” numbers and devices to access the service through to a fully secured service that ensures that all users accessing the call are doing so over encrypted links.

Secure Voice

Overview
In a world where certain people are determined to listen in to others communications or to access their private data, you want you and your colleagues conversations, messages and voicemail to be kept confidential.

We at Golden Orb have a range of secure communication services which can provide you with the connectivity and security you need whatever the situation.

In addition to protecting actual conversations, Golden Orb can also enable clients to manage their identities when using fixed, mobile and IP phones by presenting a caller ID of their choice such as a local or international geographic or mobile number when making and receiving calls. These call paths can be further protected to prevent non-warranted tracing of calls and location of the caller in sensitive situations.

Secure Mobile Data

Overview
Golden Orb enables it’s client’s to implement a wide variety of mobile data solutions safe in the knowledge that their data is managed in a secure and cost effective manner.

Data-only Sim’s can be provided in a number of formats for projects of any size running across a national 3G network.  This allows the transfer of almost any type of data (including streamed video) between the mobile devices and a central server through Golden Orb’s secure (UK Restricted) network.With minimal monthly charges and data costs as low as a few pence per Mb, Golden Orb provides an extremely cost effective service. Data charges are billed as a total across all deployed SIM’s, not on an individual basis to further reduce overall costs and increase flexibility.

Secure Unified Communications

Overview
UC. Unified Communications. Never really seems unified, does it? But what if your mobile and office phones had the same number and rang at the same time, completely under your control? And you could make secure calls between mobile and desk phones in your organisation?

Then all the other cool things we can do for you, like connecting the Instant Messaging, online collaboration, and social media connections to your phone would make more sense, right?

Golden Orb is unique in providing a highly integrated yet very secure unified communications service that works across multiple devices in a seamless fashion.

Staff can communicate and collaborate with each other openly, safe in the knowledge that their conversations are kept completely confidential.  Having a hosted service accessible from a range of devices and locations ensures that the service remains flexible whilst providing a high level of resilience and business continuity in the event of any misfortune.

Secure Call Conferencing

Overview
Sometimes you need to communicate securely with several others at the same time knowing that all conversations are kept confidential. Golden Orb’s secure conferencing service  is hosted within our secure network to ensure that only pre-defined fixed, mobile or SIP phone users are able to access the service. You can also set up conference calls that can only accessed from encrypted devices where a high level of confidentiality is required.

The contents of a conference call can be recorded and stored securely before being made available to selected recipients as an encrypted file that can be requested from a secure web site or delivered via email to a pre-validated address.
