• Online collaboration – Carrier Grade business-focussed service combining e-mail, IM and voice with presence and buddy lists. Share documents, hold meetings and conference calls online, send Instant Messages (IM), all across a secure, encrypted connection hosted within a UK Government Confidential level network.
• Real-Time Status – All team members can see the real-time status of everyone else and can choose how to communicate with them in the most effective way. Those on the move can use their mobile phone or lap-top computer with the VOIP client reducing their mobile phone costs.
• Inclusive Support – Unlike other proprietary approaches, there are clients available for PC and MS Outlook, Mac OS X as wel as Linux, Blackberry, Android and iPhone devices. There is also a web-based service available.
• Secure SIP to mobile integration – Place secure calls between mobile and office devices or SIP phones with a voice message confirming the assurance level associated with the line.
• Confidential Conferencing – Provides a secure conferencing service that only allows verified users to access the service.  All sessions can be recorded and then streamed online or mailed to participants later.

Technical Specifications

Developed in conjunction with Presence Networks, Golden Orb’s Secure Unified Communications provides secure real time collaboration and unified messaging from servers located and accessed through our UK Confidential level private network.

All clients access the service through 128bit SSL encrypted links to the servers, (rather than using Peer-to-Peer technology as used in consumer systems). All data stored on the servers is encrypted to 168bit 3DES standards and all access to the system is logged and recorded.

Clients are available for the following platforms;

Desktop – PC Windows (inc XP, Vista, Windows7 etc) Mac OS X, Linux and MS Outlook.

Mobile – Blackberry (Android and Apple iOS for iPad and iPhone/iPod soon)

Web – Secured HTTPS client available from any suitable browser

The Secure Unified Communications system is designed to provide permission-based administration, with full user management system access provided to IT controllers and auditors, thus enabling and managing the chain of command with controlled delegation of authorities. All content is date and time stamped to meet auditing and compliance requirements.
