Secure Call Conferencing

Overview
Sometimes you need to communicate securely with several others at the same time knowing that all conversations are kept confidential. Golden Orb’s secure conferencing service is hosted within our secure network to ensure that only pre-defined fixed, mobile or SIP phone users are able to access the service. You can also set up conference calls that can only accessed from encrypted devices where a high level of confidentiality is required.

The contents of a conference call can be recorded and stored securely before being made available to selected recipients as an encrypted file that can be requested from a secure web site or delivered via email to a pre-validated address.

Minimise call charges– Each client can select a number of local country numbers for the conferencing service to greatly reduce call charges for those calling in from international locations, especially for those with mobile phones who only pay for the local call, making it much cheaper and easier for them to join the conference.

Total control – Decide whether individual conferences are restricted to pre-registered phones, open, or a mixture of the two.

Total security – Highly sensitive conferences can be configured to only allow callers using encrypted devices preventing any eavesdropping. In-call announcements confirm that all users are using secured call paths before the conference begins.

Instant conferencing – The system can be activated to make calls out to participants to recruit them into conferences where immediate communications are required.

Conference archives – Conference calls can be recorded for later review and archiving.

Expandable – Optional extra services from our Unified Communications suite are available providing screen sharing, secure file transfer, video conferencing and presence details.  These are all secured over encrypted links and work a across a wide range of PC, Mac, Linux and various mobile phone clients to complement the core conferencing service.

Features

Our secure conferencing service is a highly flexible service, enabling administrators to manage multiple conference bridges, all designed to meet a wide variety of operational requirements whilst keeping group conversations confidential.

Dedicated numbers – Each client is assigned a range of private, dedicated numbers to access their own conferencing service.

International access – Local geographic access numbers can be assigned across a number of countries to reduce potential call charges, especially for mobile users.

Flexibility – Create multiple bridges, each with it’s own dedicated access list. Each conference can have up to 25 participants (more by special request).

Whitelist access – Conference bridges can be secured to only accept callers accessing from pre-registered phone numbers.

High security – Very sensitive conferences can be configured to only accept callers using secured phones, encrypted VOIP clients (TLS, sRTP) or mobiles using the Cellcrypt encryption system

Call in or call out – The system can be configured to make calls out to individuals where ad-hoc conferences are required.

Voice messaging – Use the service to send an important message that is then distributed as a voice call to all those registered to a particular bridge.

Call Recording – Conferences can be recorded and later downloaded from a secure website.

Technical Specifications

Golden Orb’s secure conferencing service is hosted inside it’s own private fixed and mobile voice/data network from multiple secured data centres across the UK. It is a tier one level network with multiple interconnects to BT and other national operators around the world and operates at UK RESTRICTED level and above, being managed by staff who are all security cleared. Each client is provided with their own unique dedicated range of local and international phone numbers with  access to the secure conferencing service protected either by secured web pages or an encrypted terminal where a high degree of confidentiality is required.

Through a partnership with Cellcrypt, Golden Orb provides its clients with optional access to end-to-end encryption ensuring conversations are unable to be compromised at any point along untrusted networks.  The encryption client installs over the cellular network, and is provides Government level encryption validated to FIPS 140-2. It runs on a wide range of smart-phones including iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Symbian devices and works across all major wireless networks including 2G (GPRS, EDGE, 1xRTT), 3G (UMTS, HSDPA, EV-DO) satellite broadband and WiFi.
